Printing "Mandalorian" Face Shields with the Infinite Resource Project

By using 3D printers and laser cutters, we are providing personal protective equipment for local hospitals and other medical facilities by using FRC Team 2471 Team Mean Machine's face shield templates.

The eye shields are laser cut from clear PETG sheets that are cheap, flexible, and durable. The headbands are also produced with the laser cutter, and the frame itself is 3D printed from sturdy PLA filament.

So far our efforts have helped over 35 local medical facilities, including but not limited to: PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, Oregon Health & Science University Hospital, Kaiser Permanente Cascade Park, and many others.
